Position: Program Quality Engineer
Status: Full Time
Program Quality opportunity to partner with Kansas City Assembly Plant (KCAP) team driving segment-leading quality for Transit, Transit BEV, and F-150. Collaborating with a broad spectrum of skill teams, program teams, Ford Pro, and Model E to drive reliability commensurate with the resilience of these products. Work closely with both current production and forward model workstreams to drive continuous improvement to deliver segment leading quality for our KCAP products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll do…
Lead and coordinate current model program delivery of:
- Drive local plant delivery and adherence to every-claim-every-day process. Accelerate containment of top issues and escalate repeat recurrence concerns
- Support Plant Variability Reduction Team (VRT) in concern prioritization and problem-solving resolution for Find & Fix concerns.
- Analyze current model quality data to identify opportunities to achieve vehicle quality targets
- Work with the Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) at the plant and functional quality teams to obtain approval for current model and in-cycle actions required to achieve quality targets
- Work with the Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) at the plant to ensure vehicle line quality glidepaths accurately depict current status
- Support customer inspection clinics
- Support Super Duty Program quality updates for all review forums
Lead and coordinate forward model program (interaction with Dearborn) delivery of:
- Cascade vehicle line quality targets from the Quality Business Plan team to achieve vehicle quality leadership
- Support Vehicle line quality lifecycle plans – from launch of new product through always on lifecycle
- Provide Quality Assessments to support the Quality Launch Scorecard (including “Meets Program Intent” assessments) during launch milestones.
QUALIFICATIONS
You’ll have…
- High School Diploma or GED
- Launch experience
- Problem Solving Quality Tool knowledge
- Familiarity with quality forecasting and creation of waterfall charts
- Intermediate user of Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot Table knowledge preferred
- Project coordination / collaborating cross-functional teams
- Presentation skills to management in team atmosphere
Even better, you may have…
- B.S. Engineering preferred
- Prior quality experience, Find and Fix problem solvers, product development or manufacturing experience preferred
- Automotive experience preferred
- Statistics knowledge and experience preferred. Demonstrated capability managing large data sets – extracting insights and making data driven decisions
