Position: Plant Operations Manager

Novo Health Services seeks a highly capable and results-oriented Plant Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our St. Louis, MO facility. This critical role requires a blend of operational expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a vital role in optimizing our processes, enhancing productivity, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Efficiency: Manage and optimize all aspects of daily operations, focusing on process improvement, quality control, and productivity optimization. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Oversee inventory management and scheduling to ensure smooth workflow.
- Production Management: Supervise production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and production schedules. Analyze output data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Facility Management: Manage the efficient flow of goods and materials throughout the facility. This includes overseeing procurement, warehousing, and production.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of supervisors and other personnel. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment through effective delegation, performance management, and team building. Contribute to talent acquisition and training/development initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, HLAC, TRSA) and maintain a safe working environment. Oversee quality control measures and risk management strategies.
- Problem Solving & Communication: Effectively troubleshoot operational challenges, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management, supervisors, and team members.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong understanding of laundry processes, equipment, and chemicals used in the facility. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) years of experience as an operations Manager or in a similar operational leadership role.
- Previous 2yr experience running/managing an Industrial Laundry with tunnel washers. Preferably with 10+ million pounds a year
- Certified Linen and Laundry Manager and/or Healthcare Laundry Accredited Certified experience preferred
- Experience managing 50-100 FTE’s
- Experience managing large groups of entry level employees with authority and compassion
- Ability to work in high stress environments (every day is Just in Time Delivery)Solution focused problem solving
- Proven track record of success in optimizing operational processes and improving efficiency.
- Strong understanding of production management, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Experience with inventory control.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
