Assistant Quality Assurance Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

American Foods Group, LLC  has an opportunity for an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to join our team for our new America’s Heartland Packing facility in Wright City, Missouri.   

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities for the Quality Assurance / Food Safety department.
  • Work closely with local and regional USDA/FSIS authorities, customer representatives (if needed), government agencies, and auditors.
  • Update, maintain, and implement pertinent regulatory documents and records, product specifications, quality assurance records, and quality assurance personnel records/files.
  • Update, maintain and enforce quality programs: HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, SQF; monitor programs and ensure programs are enforced on the floor.
  • Responsible for crewing, monitoring, and training of all QA personnel on quality and food safety programs.
  • Implement and lead a robust Animal Welfare program.
  • Assist with corrective actions and follow up on preventive measures; ensure preventive measures are enforced on the floor.

Training Manager

Community Liaison

The Community Liaison role will focus on supporting the integration of new hires into our workforce and the local community. Fabrication AM Manager

American Foods Group, LLC has an opportunity for a Fabrication AM Manager to join the team for our new AFG manufacturing facility in Wright City, Missouri.

Summary:

Oversee the fabrication floor and all aspects of production from set up to yields, quality, employee safety, food safety, volume, costs, claims, turnover, absenteeism, and training of supervisors. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance, and staffing.

  • Use Kronos reporting information to establish crewing shortages in departments.

  • Partner with all levels of plant leadership to focus on employee engagement and retention efforts.  Be an internal champion for maintaining a plant team effort to positively affect employee turnover. Drive the talent acquisition and training/development process.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement. Coach HR staff to look for improvements in processes for both efficiency and results.  Continuously review and evaluate all HR services looking for improvements in consistency, compliance, efficiency and employee retention.

  • Develop recruiting strategies and lead the recruiting team.
