Position: Maintenance Manager
Status: Full Time
The Maintenance Manager has the responsibility to ensure that all equipment used in manufacturing and/or rolling stock is always in the condition to be operable to ensure maximum production.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute daily, weekly and monthly Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
- Address employee issues or grievances.
- Work closely with Plant Manager on all aspects of production, safety, and maintenance.
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
- Monitor inventory of machinery and equipment.
- Participate in coordination of projects.
- Understand and operate plant equipment safely and efficiently within company standards.
- Assists with daily duties.
- Responsible for training and retraining of new and current employees.
- Operates a forklift as necessary to assist in meeting a schedule.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Take calls on off-hours to assist operations.
- Comply with all safety rules and procedures set forth by company, state and federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Performs any other duties as directed by Plant Manager.
- Reports any issues to Plant Manager.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ supervisory experience or 10 years’ supervisory/manufacturing experience.
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time (12 hours minimum).
- Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. continuously during shift, including twisting, turning or bending with or without product in hand.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to work in extreme environmental temperatures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, mechanical, hydraulic, etc.).
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management.
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities
