Molding personnel are responsible for ensuring the production of molded transformers while maintain quality, efficiency and safety.
Production: selecting and assembling transformer cores into the corresponding molds and placing secondary wires in the correct position according to the production build list and shop packet. Build both top and bottom plates and assemble those to molds according to BOM requirements. Maintain epoxy temperatures in mold oven. Mix two-part epoxy according to instruction using scales and mixing machines. Load molds onto hotplate in ovens. Poor epoxy mixture into molds while introducing as little air as possible. Monitor and top off molds in a timely manner. Monitor epoxy mixture in molds and oven timers in order to determine if epoxy is solidifying properly. Remove molds from oven when epoxy is solidified. Disassemble molds without damaging transformers. Clean molds and prepare all hardware for next use. Inspect molds for damage and notify the leader when damage is found.
Quality Assurance: ensuring transformers meet the BOM requirements, quality standards, and specifications. Complete documentation and follow all quality control measures.
Safety and Compliance: adhering to safety regulations and procedures, ensuring the production environment is safe for all personnel, using appropriate PPE for each task performed.
Training and Development: complete all training within your assigned area on production procedures, equipment operation, safety and quality protocols.
Communication and Collaboration: effectively communicate with other employees assigned to your area as well as other departments and shifts to ensure smooth production flow and address any issues promptly.
Documenting and Reporting: maintaining accurate records of production activities, required quality/loss reports, and notes for upcoming shifts.
