Position: Warehouse Associate
Status: Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
Ability to learn basic knowledge/operations of a warehouse including shipping, receiving and inventory control.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive product – unload freight, review freight bills, inspect finish goods, check part numbers, check certificates, mill testing.
- Inspect raw materials, inspect dimensions to ensure proper marking and remarking of material.
- Review packing slip to prepare PO, check MTR.
- Deliver raw material to designated location
- Conduct monthly inventory counts as well as a complete facility inventory in June and December
- Partner with manufacturing on priority parts and deliver to appropriate location
- Operating the Hem & Hydmech saws with tracking of stock, receipt and accurate charge-out to jobs and stock.
- Build crates/crating
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate power tools/saws
- Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane
- Ability to interpret cut sheets
- Familiarity with purchase orders, packing slips, customs
- Ability to use various measurement devices
- Ability to follow directions, organized and multi-task
- Self-motivated
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Works well with others
- Ability to obtain a Class E driver’s license before employment begins
Education and Experience:
- Certified forklift and overhead crane operator a plus or will be trained by Holloway America
- Logistics background a plus
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. Must be able with withstand hot/cold temperatures. Sitting 10%, walking/standing 90%. Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds.
