Missouri One Start Training Funds Support Facility Growth at Four Process, Ltd.
Training expands to all employees
In 2022, Four Process, Ltd. moved operations to a 23,000 square-foot facility in Valley Park. The move allowed the company to support its growing workforce with additional space for its equipment. With funding from Missouri One Start, Four Process was able to offset the cost of training its employees in material handling and equipment operation. Special School District of St. Louis County provided administrative assistance.
From August 1, 2024 to December 11, 2024, four in-house subject matter experts delivered training on the following:
- Operating the automated material handling system
- Operating the Temperature Control Unit for in-operation tools
- Operating the two-ton single girder top running bridge crane
- Operating and maintaining the auto scrubber
- Starting up and operating the 500-ton injection molding machine
- Setting up and operating of the Maguire Gravimetric Feeder
- Setting up and using the central drying system
- Setting up and operating the central chiller and water tower system
- Assembling and testing the Upholstery Tool Head and Complete Kit
Both Four Process and its employees have benefited from this training. Participants noted that they feel more responsible and knowledgeable about the programs they are involved with, as well as some programs that they rarely get to learn about. The company saw increased focus and engagement from its workforce along with reduced turnover rates.
“Missouri One Start funds have allowed us to upskill our existing workforce and consider investing in additional equipment and employees,” says Brett Richardet, Chief Operating Officer at Four Process. “Without the support of the Customized Training program, we may have to pick and choose which employees get this training – instead, we are able to provide full coverage to our workforce.”
