PACKAGING TECHNICIAN D

Position Summary: 

Royal Oak is looking for a Packaging Technician D.  This position is responsible for the operation of the machines required to package charcoal briquets. Packaging Technicians are trained to operate one or more of the following pieces of equipment: scales, baggers, sewing machines, checkweighers, bundlers, robots, wrappers, and/or trunklines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Able to operate equipment at standard run rates
  • Able to identify critical elements on each machine
  • Able to perform basic corrective actions
  • Able to perform a changeover with assistance

Royal Oak is looking for a Utility Operator C.  This position is responsible for the packaging of charcoal briquets.   Packaging line workers are required to work several different positions on the packaging line, such as: stacking, folding, diverting bags, etc.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Position Summary:

The Production/Packaging Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Packaging Line Department employees; performs administrative tasks and maintains communications associated with the activities of a Production/Packaging shift.  Assumes responsibility for the shift’s performance in safety, product quality, Production/Packaging output, all Packaging line equipment maintenance, housekeeping, cost control; and for effectiveness of communications relevant to shift performance and the attainment of plant goals.

  • Ascertains assigned Packaging goals prior to start of shift.  Assigns personnel and determines use of equipment and procedures to achieve these goals.  Arranges for flow of Production/Packaging supplies, raw material and finished product.  Monitors progress during shift and makes appropriate adjustments.  Informs manager when it appears that goals will not be met.
  • Conducts operations to meet established cost standards for use of materials, supplies, utilities, manpower and equipment.  Instructs subordinates in most efficient use of equipment and materials and requires instructions to be followed.  Contributes to plant cost reduction efforts.
  • Relays appropriate information and instructions from management to subordinates.  Passes comments and concerns of relevant information about employees back to management.  Maintains effective lateral communications with other departments whose work affects that or the shift giving them timely notice of the requirements.
  • Responsible for all repairs and maintenance to production/packaging line equipment. 
  • Provides input to plant management on employee performance.

MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Position Summary:

SENIOR AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Position Summary:

Provide technical support for site automation systems and network infrastructure.  Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with process controls and manufacturing systems.  Generate recommendations and then develop/execute solutions to correct and resolve problems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for site automation systems and network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with process controls and manufacturing systems.  Generate recommendations and then develop/execute solutions to correct and resolve problems.
  • Improve overall site integration between various systems.
  • PLC and HMI coding and integration.
  • PID loop creation, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Scoping out electrical requirements for various projects throughout the plant.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth by assessing automation needs, recommending process improvements, and staying informed on emerging technologies (continuous improvement).
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical and automation engineering experience in a continuous manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with integrated continuous manufacturing systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, automated systems, industrial networks, and installations across low, medium, and high-voltage systems.
  • PLC: Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
  • HMI: Allen Bradley (Panel view) / Rockwell Automation
  • Robots: Fanuc
  • Electrical arc: flash training & certification

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer) or a related field OR a Technical Associate’s Degree with equivalent hands-on experience.
