Processing Technician Supervisor

Position Summary: 

Western Smokehouse Partners is looking for a Processing Supervisor.

This position will be reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the Supervisor oversees the entire raw production process and ensures all product exceeds customer expectations.  The Processing Supervisor enforces and maintains raw material standards and company policies while holding processing staff to these standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

Functions:

  • Supervise raw production team members and ensure flow and accuracy of production operations
  • Conducts inspections on machines of machines, rooms and other equipment in the production area
  • Rotate spice, meat, and other product racks to ensure first in first out
  • Verify all ingredients and specifications are correct to meet customer standards
  • Changing out and setting up machines to correct specifications per customer request
  • Keeping floor clear of debris and keeping contaminated product away from non-contaminated product
  • Verify labels and racks to ensure accuracy of products
  • Follows SOPs, GMP, and FDA regulations
  • Document information accurately and provide excellent paperwork for records
  • Report and food safety, equipment malfunctions, etc to the superintendent
  • Assumes responsibilities of processing tech as needed

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
  • General knowledge of computers and record keeping
  • Lift objects over 50+ pounds on a daily basis
  • Food processing experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience required

HR Coordinator

Position Summary: 

This position will help provide administrative support to the Human Resources department such as:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Leading the recruitment efforts, scheduling interviews, and managing the onboarding process for new hires. Check- ins/follow ups with new hires.

Employee Relations:

  • Addressing employee inquiries, providing information on HR policies and procedures, and assisting with employee relations issues.

Reporting and Data Management:

  • Preparing reports on HR metrics, maintaining HR databases, and ensuring the accuracy of employee data.

Compliance:

Warehouse Manager

Position Summary: 

 

Western Smokehouse Partners is looking for a Warehouse Manager.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and personnel supervision. This role ensures the efficient, accurate, and timely handling of materials, maintains relationships with carriers and vendors, and implements procedures to improve overall productivity and quality. The Warehouse Manager must be a strong leader capable of multitasking, making strategic decisions, and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage all warehouse activities, including receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Ensure shipments are received and delivered accurately on time, and in good condition.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load and unload trucks as needed.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of warehouse employees, including shipping and receiving clerks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party carriers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Oversee cycle counting and inventory accuracy, ensuring a well-organized and tidy warehouse.
  • Implement and uphold company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, Maintenance, and other departments to align warehouse activities with company objectives.
  • Assign personnel and equipment to meet workload demands efficiently.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new hires and ensure team members adhere to company standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Handle customer and vendor concerns related to warehouse operations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or shipping/receiving.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience leading a team in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications or a degree in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with ERP systems (experience with Deacom preferred).
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

 

Abilities Required

  • Ability to assign personnel and equipment effectively to meet operational goals.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to relay instructions and manage warehouse teams.
  • Ability to train and develop warehouse employees for optimal performance.

Safety Coordinator

Position Summary: 

 

Western Smokehouse Partners is looking for a Safety Coordinator.

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for enforcing the company’s Health and Safety vision. This includes but is not limited to conducting employee training, auditing the workplace to ensure regulatory/ company compliance, investigating accidents, holding safety meetings and coordinating emergency response drills. This position will report directly to the Senior Safety Manager and work closely with site operations to establish positive partnerships, improve employee buy-in and the adoption of the company’s safety vision. The Safety Coordinator will support our mission to reduce or eliminate accidents by freeing our workplaces of recognized hazards, encourage safe work behaviors, promote a culture that values and strives for safety excellence.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for maintaining a multi-site program.
  • Implement company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote and implement safety goals and strategies that are in line with corporate (KPI’s).
  • Locally lead behavior-based safety initiatives to improve culture and reduce accidents.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards requiring improvement.
  • Conduct hazard assessments in areas such as confined spaces, personal protective equipment, and Job hazard analysis to identify the exposures that exist in the workplace.
  • Develop and deliver safety training for all employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing refresher training.
  • Lead in the investigation of accidents and near-miss incidents, identifying root causes and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
  • Hold Safety Committee meetings to support employee involvement in safety.

 

Experience:

  • Background in safety management, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Food processing experience
  • Industrial equipment certified/Training experience - Forklifts, motorized pallet jacks, and scissor lifts.
  • First Aid, CPR and AED certified

 

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
