FSQA Manager

Position Summary: 

This position oversees inspection to ensure high-quality products that meet customer, Quality Assurance (QA), and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) specifications to guarantee satisfaction. This job requires standing, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 lbs. through the entire shift. Applicants must be self-motivated and excited about working in a team environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads, trains, and manages a team of food safety quality personnel
  • Coordinates quality assurance activities (e.g., audits, training, purchasing, etc.)
  • Monitors and verifies the HACCP plan’s CCPs adhering to policy and procedure
  • Conduct GMP and sanitation audits of operations and warehouse areas
  • Works with operations personnel on quality and safety issues
  • Places product on hold, release or disposition as necessary while adhering to policy and procedure
  • Evaluates damaged or out-of-spec products
  • Work with the FSQA Director to maintain the SQF program
  • Develop and further FDA compliance guidelines
  • Calibration of equipment, validation, verification of food safety systems
  • Ensure proper sanitation procedures are being followed to produce safe quality food

HR Coordinator

Position Summary: 

This position will help provide administrative support to the Human Resources department such as:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Leading the recruitment efforts, scheduling interviews, and managing the onboarding process for new hires. Check- ins/follow ups with new hires.

Employee Relations:

  • Addressing employee inquiries, providing information on HR policies and procedures, and assisting with employee relations issues.

Reporting and Data Management:

  • Preparing reports on HR metrics, maintaining HR databases, and ensuring the accuracy of employee data.

Compliance:

  • Staying up-to-date on employment laws and regulations and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedure.

Qualifications:

HR Manager

Position Summary: 

The HR Manager will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting the Galesburg facility. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, compliance, onboarding, policy implementation, benefits administration, and HRIS management.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct new employee orientations and facilitate the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave
  • Handle employee relations counseling, investigations, and exit interviewing.
  • Assist in performance management and improvement processes, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain HRIS records and compile reports as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5-year HR experience required
  • Successful interaction with many different departments and people in the facility
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with members across the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines

Superintendent

Position Summary:

  • Daily management of production employees, including hiring, scheduling, and coaching
  • Maintains safe working conditions and promotes a culture of safety.
  • Ensures the flow of production, redirecting employees and resources as necessary.
  • Acts a partner with food safety and is an engaged member of the food safety team
  • Wears the correct Food Safety garments including frock, gloves, aprons, sleeves, hairnet, beard nets, etc. in designated areas of the packaging process

Other duties may be assigned based on company needs.

Experience:

  • 3 years experience in a food manufacturing plant preferred
  • 2 years experience in any supervisory role
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Demonstrated team building and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with computer programs such as Office and Excel

Supply Chain Manager

Position Summary: 

A Supply Chain Manager will manage the procurement of raw materials, coordinate production schedules, ensure timely distribution of finished products, and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.

This role requires a strong understanding of the food manufacturing industry, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations.

  • Work with our contact within the company to source high-quality beef, turkey, pork and other raw materials needed for stick production.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistency in quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Build a production schedule based on the company’s monthly demand plan and make sure all raw materials have been ordered to a certain stock level to keep the plant working.
  • Oversee the management of inventory levels, ensuring raw materials and finished goods are in optimal supply without overstocking.
  • Implement inventory control systems to track products through each stage of production and distribution. Examples would be setting up Min/Max or utilizing an MRP System.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations to minimize waste and loss. (Supply Chain Manager/Plant Analyst)
  • Collaborate with production teams to align manufacturing schedules with sales forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Ensure that production timelines are met and that raw materials are available on time for the manufacturing process.  Rotating Meat and making sure this aligns with production schedules.
  • Monitor production progress and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and capacity.
  • Coordinate the transportation and distribution of finished product to retailers and customers.
  • Manage shipping schedules and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any issues related to raw materials, production processes, or finished products.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics and make adjustments to improve efficiency.
